Staff Update
We would like to welcome Miss Charlotte Hawkins, who will be teaching in Galtres Class on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and Mrs Janine Brownsword who will be supporting the learning of a child in Neville Class.
Spring Term Menu
The new menu was emailed to everyone yesterday. If you did not receive a copy please ask Mrs Bellwood in the school office. Dinner money for this half term is £52.50
School Applications
Just a quick reminder, if you have a child who will be starting school in September this year, the closing date for applications is next week – Monday 15th January.
PTFA Prize Draw
The monthly prize draw winner for January is ticket number 14.
Staff Vacancy
We currently have a vacancy in our after school club on Mondays and Fridays, 3.30pm till 5.30pm. If anyone is would like to apply for the post please pop in and see Mrs Stell.
Milk Bottles
Neville Class are collecting the 4 pint size plastic milk bottles for a craft project. If you have any at home please could you rinse them out and bring them into school.
AMAZING NEWS!
Our school has been successful in applying for an Erasmus project funded by the British Council. Only a few projects are granted each year and thanks to a lot of hard work by Mr Fewlass we have been successful.
The project is entitled ‘Culture, Friendship and Maths’! It involves other schools in Sweden, Tenerife, Greece and Poland. Members of our staff will be able to visit these other schools to gain a greater understanding of their maths teaching techniques whilst at the same time building collaborative partnerships across Europe. The children will also be involved in the project, sharing experiences and activities through a range of media such as email, letters etc.
We will share further details shortly.
